Hello.
I was with a bunch of guys the other night as it was my birthday and one thing led to another, we were all drinking, and we started to fool around. No intercourse actually took place (penis in anus or mouth) but i did find myself fingering my friends butt with my bare hand. I later went to wash my hand before giving another friend a handjob without him finishing, lasted about 5 minutes only. Then i went to sit on a chair, not sure how many people finished on it but it seemed clean…, and masturbated myself until i finished. That was the event and here are my questions.
1. Do these events put me at risk for any STD’s? I know your area of expertise is herpes but i figure after being around the topic for so log youd have some insight.
2.do these events put me at risk for herpes?
3.about a 1.5 days after the encounter i developed what seemed to be a tiny little patch of dry/exposed (break in the skin) area on my penis which is odd because that area wasnt envolved!! I do not have any pain during urination or swollen lymph nodes however. And now about 4 days after the event i have a cold!! This is why i am concerned…Thank you for the help!

Assuming the finger skin was intact, that presents no risk at all. The masturbation presents no risk and you sitting on a chair where others had been presents no risk either. So the answer is no.

If your penis was not involved, then the dry skin is unrelated. When we interact with many people, we are vulnerable to getting their germs, thus likely the cold.

Ok great. Yes i the finger skin was intact with just hangnail kinda cuts. What would the risk be is the skin was broken? Herpes whitelow? 1 and a half days for symptoms seems rather soon does it not? The only way my penis was involved was my masturbating myself but after touching other people, their butt and penis with my hands, this isnt a risk is it?
Thank you!! -

I think the risk of you getting herpes from masturbating after touching other people is very very low, if any. If you had a significant hang nail, you should keep an eye on your finger for the next couple of weeks, looking for any blisters of herpes, yes.

Have u ever seen someone getting herpes from fingering someones butt (washed my hands before touching myself) and then giving a handjob before masturbating myself? The reason im so concerned is because like i said i have a cold and a small area on my penis that looks like a healing wound at this point!! It started on monday and now on saturday looks like the redness you would see after a scab fell off. Im freaking out!! How can i be so unlucky to have gotten herpes from the events i described? Also as for the hangnail i dont even have any so i should be good in that regard correct?

No, I have never seen that and I never will. If you have something going on with your penis, it would be something that you acquired prior to this encounter. And your hands are good too, with no hang nail.
