Hi Terri,
I’ve spoke with you twice at this point for some reason I’m having a hard time moving past this. I’ve had a negative western blot after a low positive hsv2 result in a routine std panel. This is what started all this. It had been over 8 months post sexual activity before recieving first western blot negative.I spoke with you and recieved second test while married and only sexually active with him for 3 years prior and my results were indeterminate. You asked me to have him tested. He was negative per regular hsv 2 testing not western blot.
I felt good with that but now divorced post cancer I had a strange vesicular infection on my calf dr didn’t think it was herpes and wouldn’t test for it. Never really hurt or drained somewhat hard then left a scar. That leg has been tingly and around that area for a while maybe few weeks or month. Been over year never came back. I’ve had lymphodema post cancer could this just be strange infection with being so neutropenic?
My concern now I’m in a new relationship and want to feel good about it and not worry. Why would I be negative then indeterminate? Is that common? Should I retest with western blot? I dont have insurance at this moment and would be happy to pay out of pocket if I can get this test to ease my mind. Is this something I can get on east coast at this point if I walk into lab? I have not been sexually active in 2 years. Am I just making something into nothing? Please help me move forward. Thank you.

If I had your name, I could ask the lab to look at the two blots and see if they are actually different from each other. Alternatively, we can order another blot.
The sore on your leg sounds nothing at all like herpes to me.
Depending upon where you live on the east coast, you may have to drive a little ways to get the test.
If we’ve worked together in the past you have my email address – write to me and I’ll look into this for you.Terri

You should email me again if I have not provided you with a comparison of the two blots.

I emailed you again but when we spoke you said it was too far out to compare. First test was 2014 maybe.
