Hi Terri,
I had received a lap dance. There was nude genital apposition. I felt uncomfortable and pushed her off. The grinding was rough and it couldn’t have lasted longer than a minute. A few days later I noticed small skin colored bumps on my penis. They were very small. All little circles, except one looked a little more like a tiny worm shape. Also, my penis Corona was slightly swollen. I freaked out and started self treating. I put my penis in apple cider vinegar. I put tea tree oil on any small bump that I saw. At that point I had extreme anxiety. I would check my penis constantly. And lost my appetite and substantial weight. A week after the incident, I decided to put my penis in apple cider vinegar with baking soda. The next day, I was sitting at work and all of a sudden experienced a strong burning sensation in both thighs, followed by a nerve pain in my right leg, some abdominal discomfort, a quick strange burning sensation in my anus, and some back pain. It didn’t last very long. Everything was about 20 minutes. No real pain on my actual penis. Just a little bit of penis tingling which I always experienced after applying tea tree oil. I have to also mention that around that time, I was using a plant based detergent that I soon realized made other parts of my body itchy. Besides seeing very small bumps on my penis (you would need a flashlight to see them, and some still exist, so they may have always been there), I did not have any of the typical herpes blisters, nothing that opened and leaked fluid, no pain during urination, and I had negative igg blood results at 1 month, 2 months, and 3 months. My main concern was the strange prodrome like symptoms. Could it have been anxiety and plant-based detergent driven? A few days after the burning sensation at work a GP said my penis looked normal, and a few days after that a urologist said it looked normal. Let me know what you think. Thanks. -

Your experience was low risk though not zero risk, just quite low. But putting your penis in vinegar and baking soda? I’m surprised you don’t have more of a reaction! Wow.
If you need a flashlight or magnifying glass to see bumps, they are not herpes. I would rely upon these results because 1) your experience had very limited risk 2) your tests are negative 3) you’ve had no symptoms that are consistent with herpes, except some weirdness, and most people who only have sort of weirdness don’t have herpes by accurate testing.Terri

Hi Terri,
Thank you for your quick response. What do you think could have caused nerve pain in my right leg, some abdominal discomfort, a quick strange burning sensation in my anus (felt like electric shock), and some back pain (felt like nerve pain). Also, I forgot to mention that my testicles felt like they were burning and in my right upper leg I felt muscle soreness, but didn’t work out. As, I mentioned before those symptoms lasted about 20 minutes.
The tingling in my penis lasted for a couple of weeks, but it’s when I put tea tree oil on small bumps. And tingled after I put hydrocortisone and ciclopirox cream on my penis (dermatologist prescribed it for what he believed was lichen when I pointed out the small bumps). I stopped using those creams after a week. Didn’t think it was helping.
I have not had any symptoms for a few months now, but I keep thinking about those strange sensations because I never had any of those types of symptoms before. Could it have been a fungal infection? A reaction the next day to acv and baking soda? Anxiety related? A reaction to the plant based detergent that made me itch? Let me know what you think. Thank You. -

I’m sorry, I don’t know. Your symptoms are quite vague. If you are worried about herpes, I think you should focus more on observing for any sore in the genital area and not focus so much on the various skin sensations. BTW, the cortisone would have made herpes worse – you need your cellular immune response to fight herpes and the cortisone takes it away. I doubt that these things are related to herpes.
