I visited a strip bar and the stripper pulled my penis from my zipper and danced over me. She did not put it in but I can’t recall if her vagina touched it. 4 weeks later started upper body followed by severely itchy scrotum about two days later. After severely scratching scrotum it drained clear fluid especially after showers. Went to Dr (didn’t tell him about stripper) he gave prednisone. After a few days he thought rash looked better. I disagreed went to dermatologist who thought folliculitis put on antibiotics and rash and draining got worse. Scrotum seems to be clearing up after two weeks has dry flaking skin now. Was never painful just drained a lot of clear fluids. Upper body rash still terrible. Is it possible I have scabies and herpes? Could I get herpes that easy?
Please reply soon I have Dr appt Monday and will ask for testing but having trouble waiting that long.

Wow, you do have an upper body rash. Ouch. Has someone looked at this chest rash as well as the scrotum rash? I seriously doubt that the scrotum situation is herpes but scabies is certainly a possibility for your upper body. The scrotum situation is confusing to me as well. It almost sounds like some kind of contact dermatitis but the derm is the one that looked at it and should know. I’ve rarely seen folliculitis on the scrotum, however.

As for herpes – extremely unlikely given the very brief contact or even if there was any genital contact.
I sure hope you get this figured out, it looks really uncomfortable.

Thanks Terri this morning I noticed a red circle under/along the side of the tip of my penis. If she was shedding or had an open lesion could this be herpes? Could I have contacted it that easy? I read it needed friction and moisture. I’m afraid I’ve put my wife at risk. I did not have intercourse and I know for sure the tip did not touch.
Is it true that herpes always appears first where it first entered? Also can you have herpes on your scrotum with no lesions on the shaft?
I am very scared and going to urgent care first thing in the morning.

No, neither one looks anything like herpes! Nothing like herpes! I don’t know what you are looking at but first I don’t believe you are immunocompromised, are you getting cancer chemotherapy or have advanced AIDS that I don’t know about? You are looking at a completely different problem. Get off the internet sites and get into a different dermatologist. This is not a herpes rash. Before or after all this worrying have you gotten a herpes antibody test to know that you were not in fact infected prior to this contact? Your risk is so very very low that I am not concerned about you acquiring herpes in this situation. However I am concerned about your rash because people can get other things when they have close contact with another person. Please get this rash evaluated as soon as possible and let me know what the dermatologist says if you wish

Hi Terri, thank you for this forum is has really helped me. I purchased the follow up questions. Thanks so much for you information.

I have noticed since yesterday red sores on the tip of my penis, one of the side of the cap and now two more forming on the top. I do have a Dr. appt tomorrow, but my anxiety is through the roof and I am hoping if you can tell me whether or not these appear to herpes or if not what other things they may possibly be.
      Thank you.

These look a bit more fungal than they do herpetic. Are you going in to be seen tomorrow? What kind of doctor are you seeing?

I’m seeing a general practicianist. I’m going to ask for a herpes test and any other tests he feels are appropriate.
This started with itchy nipples then upper body rash then severe itchy scrotum which burned after scratching and after 2 weeks body rash still present scrotum itch is going away, but now I have these which seem to be spreading on penis tip. Is there a specialist I should see?
Does herepes start on scrotum then move to penis tip?

Hi Terri went to Dr this morning he did biopsy on rash he is concerned I might have compromised immune system or HIV he did blood work waiting for results. He also swabbed new sore on penis didn’t think it looked like herpes and thought I would be in pain if it was. I don’t know how I could have HIV as I said I did not have sex. My questions for you are:
      1. If the sore was herpes would it hurt? I didn’t have any sensation when he swabbed it.
      2. If I did get herpes could the herpes virus transfer HIV with it? Again no bodily fluids were exchanged.
      3. Is it possible for herpes to start with an itchy scrotum then for a sore to appear on tip a week and a half later?

In your professional opinion do you still think it’s highly unlikely to be herpes?

      1. Not all herpes hurts, no but no sensation with swabbing does speak against it being herpes.
      2. I just don’t see any risk for HIV in this situation at all
      3. While that is possible is it unlikely

I think you need a dermatologist and in a hurry. You must be miserable.

Thanks for the answers Terri, I have been tested for herpes about 10 years ago and it was negative don’t know exact testing done.
I went to Dr Monday and he swabbed one spot on my cap and sent in for testing, also took biopsy from my upper body rash and sent for testing. Still waiting for both of those results. The HIV test came back negative.
However, as the days go by more things show up.
      1. on the side of my shaft the skin seems to sag a bit more and is red and itches. I don’t see any bumps there. Could this be some sort of STD?
      2. More spots have appeared on the tip of my penis and they feel scaly and dry with no pain. There are now about 5 of them. Does any STD appear like this?

I’m not sure if you can see much from these pictures, but any insight to what possibilities this could be.

None of this looks like herpes to me. It could be a fungal infection? I still think a dermatologist is necessary. Is there a reason you are not seeing a skin specialist?

WE have once again exhausted all of your questions. I fear that I cannot help you with this rash and renewing your subscription will likely not be useful for you.
