Hi Terri, I have timelines based on my recent endeavor. So before even doing anything this has been my partner for the past 2 years, I was tested negative before him. So recently around April we did bare grinding for a few seconds (30 max) which is the only time we did bare we’re usually always protected and only oral.

      Apr 7 12:00 pm – encounter
Apr 7 3:00 pm – dehydration and headache with sore muscles on butt, legs, and feet.
Apr 8 6:48 am- still sick
April 9 3:58 am- feel better after ibuprofen
April 10 4:00am – feeling sore down there
      April 10 7:11 am – 4 bumps
      April 11 1:00pm – burst and crusted
April 11 3:00pm – get checked at doctors and swabbed, comes back bv and yeast.

I had no swollen lymph nodes which were checked, I got these bump again 3 months later so I got tested but they only offer igm which was positive but my swabs again were negative, I regrettably didn’t shower due to depression leading the lesions to crust and scab. The next time I got the bumps, I applied hydrocortisone and treated my yeast infection. It just healed together and didn’t do more. I’ve had constant yeasty discharge for 6 months, so I had my partner be tested and he was negative with results shown. So I’m at a lost, I can’t afford the western blot since I tested 5 times, my blood is positive but my swabs are saying no hsv. I can note I’ve had shingles recurring on my arm, sides and stomach sometimes the bumps are present genitally. Since my diagnosis, I constantly feel predome symptoms that go away once I stop concentrating on it. My nurse says she doesn’t believe it’s herpes visually since they’re never on a red base, nor do they hurt or cause me pain while urinating and that my primary wouldn’t heal in 3 days with no medication. So I’m refused medicine, even with lemonaid the consultant said she doesn’t believe I need it so I can’t get medication there either. Does this sound herpetic? Hydrocortisone helps with the ulcers and it’s said if herpes itd make it worse.

I’ve posted on the other site just in case you were on vacation, I apologize if that was overstepping I’m just very anxious about acquiring something for a lifetime.

I believe that I answered this question on the other site.
When you say that you tested positive by blood, and it was by IgM, you simply cannot trust this test. Do you have questions beyond what we discussed on the other website?

I do, I see that you’ve said before that you’ve seen African Americans test negatively despite igg. I’m African American would that be a factor as why I tested positive igm?

I’ve asked for my results to type them but they say they have no values but my pcr were negative for hsv1+2 with my swabs that were done in 48 hours, is this to say I’m good?

My partner tested negative via pcr, with no symptoms either. Is this further evidence my test is wrong?

My encounter was low risk and I never received oral or ever kissed them so my risk for hsv1 is little to none, is that right?

You’ve also said if herpes they’d react negatively to hydrocortisone, in my case it helps, is that a factor?

I’ve had a stubborn yeast infection for 8 months, constant discharge and it’s chunky, sometimes I itch and it’s severely dry so then my posterior fourchette gets rubbed in my underwear then I get blisters in that same area, once it was 2 weeks within each other once I was depressed to even shower or change underwear(gross I know) , but since showering regularly and wearing cotton underwear, I’ve been fine. Can yeast cause this? I’ve gotten them swabbed and gotten two Pap smears, everything keeps coming back bacterial.

I just want to put this past me, I can’t keep testing financially and mentally? If I test positive is it possible to keep testing positive even if I don’t have herpes? I know I have shingles due to my side breaking out, could shingles appear genitally?

People says it take 2-10 days to show signs but in my case it was less than 5 hours later, is that possible?

My first “outbreak” was not painful, I was dehydrated so I took water and ibuprofen and felt better after a quick nap, my sores never hurt and lasted less than a week. Nor did it ever hurt to urinate? What else could this be?

A PCR would only be positive if there was virus present at the time of the swab.
As I mentioned, the IgM is useless due to high rates of false positives.
What you need is an IgG test which is more accurate.
No, herpes would not ever show up in 5 hours.
You mention that your partner is negative but if that is also an IgM test, that is not useful
I’m afraid that is all the help that I can give you without further better testing.

Hello, update! My partner got tested via igg last week and his results have came back negative. This time I’ve gotten a sore feeling from my perineum around the same time I started wearing a pad for my period, could it be that the pad causes me irritation there? I checked down there and saw no blisters even before the pad
and a barely there cut that I can only see with flame zoomed in. It seems to be a bit wet though I’m not sure if it’s due to the fact of it being right were fluids leak anyway.

So my question is could I have had herpes for years and my igg never pick it up and I just now show symptoms?

If my partners are all negative is it possible I’m just a natural carrier for the infection?

I had no predome sensation does that mean I’m overreacting or is stomachs cramps from periods a symptom too?

My swabs were negative and my doctor visually said they don’t present as typical herpetic sores but can’t tell what else it could be?

If newly acquired herpes, does it present as a cluster of sores or just one small one that needs a flashlight?

Hello, I renewed. My partner has been tested via igg and was negative. Leading me to believe I was probably positive before him so I reached out to past partners just to hear they’ve had no symptoms so they’ve been tested as well after hearing my diagnosis which came back negative. My swabs aren’t detecting hsv even on fresh lesions so I’m at a loss.

      1. Could it be possible that I’m just not positive even with my test? I preferred doing swabs since I’ve noticed you said they’re least likely to be false positive which I’ve done 4 times and not detect hsv.

      2. I’ve gotten these nonpainful cuts semi-monthly when using always pads so I only used tampons with no issues, is it possible I’m just having allergic reactions?

      3. I had one ulcer on my labia majora when I shaved and scratched and it remained unchanged for over 10 days then I got a few sores on my labia minora that went away in 2 days. Is it possible to have a recurrence be longer than primary? If infected my primary would’ve been a single lesion lasting 3 days.

      4. If everyone I had sex with is negative and I’m positive would that just make me a carrier?

      5. I’m not in pain with anything, the sores come and go with no medication. I just have had a constant thick discharge for a year, Does herpes cause a resistant yeast infection along with bv?

      6. I know it’s not possible to have genital hsv1 because I never once received oral, so I’m not sure what else it could be unless I’m truly positive.

Even with your test, you mean the deeply flawed igM test that I told you to ignore, that one?

      2. I’ve gotten these nonpainful cuts semi-monthly when using always pads so I only used tampons with no issues, is it possible I’m just having allergic reactions?
I honestly don’t know but it is possible

Were all of these swab tested and were negative.

      4. If everyone I had sex with is negative and I’m positive would that just make me a carrier?
How is that possible> If everyone you’ve had sex with is negative, how would you become infected?

      5. I’m not in pain with anything, the sores come and go with no medication. I just have had a constant thick discharge for a year, Does herpes cause a resistant yeast infection along with bv?
      No

I feel like this is quite a circular discussion. I’ve repeatedly said not to believe the IgM test result but I think we are still talking about that. Unless I’ve missed something, you have nothing else that says you are infected.

I have questions left so I won’t waste them. My sores appeared monthly now they seem to appear weekly, they don’t hurt but my prodding definitely makes them tender. Since I last told you about my recent sores I developed a hard base on my lower back just above my buttocks, I squeezed it and it leaked red, yellowish fluid, it never ulcerated just scabbed over the next day. The scab has not changed in about a week just slowly getting smaller , is that concerning? Could it be that my reoccurrences are just worst than my primary if I was to have anything?

You need to have the sores swab tested. Period. And a good antibody test. The thing above your buttocks sounds nothing like herpes. You seem set on believing that you have herpes, based on a test that all agree is terrible. This is your decision but I feel sorry that you’ve made this decision.
