8 weeks ago had an interaction. Received oral with no condom and no visible signs of sores. Had intercourse with condom.
Have had itching burning sensation on scrotum in week 3 (might have been the lidocaine I put on my groin) and itching sensation around my body. This was also accompanied with muscle aches in legs and back. I have also head headaches during this time.
I also feel like my skin has been extremely dry. Especially on my penis amd scrotum. I am telling myself it is from touching it continuously to see if anything changes.
During a 2-5 week stretch I have had penis pain for some reason and it feels like it goes from my anus up to my penis. This was the oddest symptom. I think it may have been from pressing on my penis to see if I had an STD. I did it a lot since I had chlamydia before in the past.
So far I have taken all my std test and come back negative up to 7 weeks. I have had no breakouts at all just these odd symptoms. All quest lab results say is negative for HSV2. I’ve know. I had HSV 1 so that scores high. Mainly 35-39. I took HERPES test from week 4-7 and all negative.
Last night I had sex with no condom with my ex and for some reason two small red dots appeared on the top of my penis. No itching no puss or fluid build up. Just look like a pupil may have been sort of scraped off during sex since it wasn’t lubricated down there.
Been having ton of stress thinking I have herpes and had all these symptoms with no outbreaks.
Any feed back would be great.

Every time I go out to walk/run my scrotum always seems like it’s on fire for about an hour after. Is this more of a symptom outside of herpes or a reflection of my nerves changing? Extremely unsure.
Also little bumps (1 at a time)that are itchy pop up between my thumb and index finger. They are itchy for about an hour then kind of scab up and go away after 3 days. They are very small and only happen one at a time. For the past 5 weeks.

Does my HSV IGG score going from 41.20 to 33.10 between 47 days mean anything? It has gone down at least 2-3 points over the past 47 days. 3 tests. Does a high score in the beginning mean newly infected or just that my body’s working through the antibodies differently due to stress?

Your symptoms honestly don’t sound like HSV 2 to me.
The variation in the HSV 1 IgG test is completely normal and has no meaning. A high score like yours simply indicates that you’ve been infected with HSV 1 for quite a while but it doesn’t indicate the location of your infection. When you say “you had HSV 1”, does that mean that you already knew that you were infected with HSV 1 previously? Do you have a history of cold sores?
This HSV 1 index value means that you’ve been previously infected with HSV 1 and that receiving oral sex without a condom does not put you at risk for getting HSV 1 genitally through oral sex.
Am I understanding all of this correctly?Terri

So Terri I want to say I think I may have had cold sores as a kid. I don’t think I’ve ever been tested for HSV before??? Either way I’ve never had someone definitively tell me I’ve had HSV1. I’m just going off of statistics that I’ve had Cold sores as I kid. At least I think I did.
So with all of those symptoms above they may be 1st of my life symptoms they may not. All I can say is that these symptoms have been on and off for going on 6 weeks now and it’s driving me crazy.
Last thing that I feel has changed is that my penile glan seems kind of dried out and has seemed to look wrinkly and sometimes flaky. Not aggressive flaky by any means but will shed a small penile pupil flake. No liquid or scab. Might be from touching it consistently. Not sure. Biggest thing that has me worried!!!
Also just tons of odd leg pain. Like tendons stretching out on my hamstrings switches on and off daily, groin feels like it’s pulling and lower back is hurting. Haven’t worked out in 4 weeks so it can’t be from that. On top of that my feet tend to get swollen & sharp pains (pinlike)in them (week 7 symptom) and my right hand.
With all of those symptoms and and an extremely high variable HSV1 Igg would you say this is potentially fresh GHSV1 infection? Or just something my body is battling?
I am going to urologist next week. Anything in particular I should ask him to check? I am trying to tell myself that this can be a viral infection due to the some of the symptoms I had in the early weeks but I am giving up slowly. Still going to see HSV2 testing through week 12. Been HSV2 negative 8 weeks through.
Thanks for the follow up. You were a wizard on the keyboard today. It was fun to watch. Kind of took my mind off things.

Just to follow up on this:
Day 10 from encounter took IGG and was a 41.20 on HSV1. Week 8 was a 33.40. Not a crazy difference but still a difference. I assume this basically means I’ve had HSV1??? And now with my latest interaction I am now getting reintroduced to it? It has been a long time in between. 7 yes. Am I now getting re-introduced to it because it’s been so long in between partners that my body is getting shocked???
Also took IGM aka early exposure how they put it and both came up negative at 10 day mark. I know it doesn’t hold much clout the IGM but thought I’d throw that in there. Just need some clarification of this thing might be bacterial (negative on all STI tests, except HSV1) or just a bad case of HSV1 that now might be genital or the HSV2 hasn’t kicked in yet at the 8/9 week mark?!?!?!? Weird changes. Biggest thing is the change in penile gland structure. Changed to wrinkly penile glands, shiny, flaky, and looks almost deflated. Always looks RED AND PURPLE. Also it is extremely annoyed after an erection. No longer smooth and pink like it used to be.

Both of your index values are high meaning this is not a new infection. You’re not getting re-introduced to anything, you’ve just had herpes for a while. IGN testing is useless and has now been withdrawn from the quest laboratory choice of tests that one can make and the CDC says never to do it.
The changes that you described in your penis are not suggestive of herpe. Its does not cause a wrinkly glans it does not cause your glans to be shiny flaky or deflated nor does it cause it to be red or purple. You might want to consider seeing a dermatologist for evaluation of these symptomsTerri
