Hi Terri,
Hope you are doing well, I live in Canada and I tested positive for HSV type 1. It was confirmed by a blood test but it does not provide any numbers or range. I never had any outbreak or any other symptoms and now I am not sure if I really have it. My question is can I take Western Blot test from Canada and if yes what is the procedure for it.
Thanks!
We can do the test from Canada yes, if you can either cross the border to get your blood drawn or get it drawn in Canada. You say you tested positive for HSV 1 AND it was confirmed by a blood test. What was the first test before the blood test?
Terri
Hi Terri,
Thank you very much for your reply, I really appreciate it. Yes, it was confirmed by a blood work and no other test was performed since I never had any symptom. I just had a full STD exam in January,2022 and everything was negative except HSV-1.
I want to get my blood drawn in Canada since I don’t have legal documents to cross the border, please advise me on this how I can have western blot test from Canada.
Thank you very much once again!
You can set up an evisit with me and we can work out the details then.
Terri

You’re welcome
