› Forums › Herpes Questions › Thank you Terri! Western Blot Results Negative
Like many of you who post on this forum, I unexpectedly tested low positive for HSV2. My number was 1.45 with a negative reflex test from Labcorp. I tested again a week later with Quest and received an Equivocal 1.09. No symptoms.
I scoured the internet for information and was full of anxiety and fear. I found Terri Warren’s information and this site and scheduled and E Visit with her. She immediately eased my fear and anxiety. During our call she said “I’m not worried about you at all”. That one sentence has kept replaying in my mind since our appointment giving me encouragement. She sent me the information on how to get the Western Blot Test done. I called the University of Washington and they sent me out the kit in less than a week. I took it to AnyLabTest now who did the blood draw and sent the sample to U of W.
I received my results about 10 minutes ago. NEGATIVE for HSV1 and HSV2! The test is expensive but you cannot put a price on piece of mind and the health of your sexual partners now and in the future. Terri is a valuable resource to those who have HSV questions and she has helped countless people including myself with her compassion, understanding and years of experience and expertise.
Thank you again Terri for your hard work and dedication in this field. You provide a true service to your community and I am eternally grateful for your help.
Your post brings tears to my eyes. You said such nice things and they are greatly appreciated. Thank you so much not only for your kind words but also taking the time to post this for others to see how important western blot testing is for people obtaining low positive results, or higher positive results with no symptoms ever.
Terri
