Hello I wanted to know if 2 people both have HSV2 genitally can they safely engage in oral without further transmission to the oral area. Thank you
Once you have HSV 1 or HSV 2 in one location on your body, it is extremely unlikely, once the infection is well established, that you would get it in a new location. if this were me, I wouldn’t give it a second thought of worry.

Does time determine whether or not it’s well established? I have had it for years, but my partner just a few months.

Usually, by four months from infection, everyone has mounted a substantial immune response.
