Hi! Appreciate your help.
I know this question gets asked a lot, but I can’t help but feel contagious to all those that I’m around. I’ve had hsv2 genitally for under a year now. I had a small outbreak on my butt cheeks and when I was at a friends house, used the toilet. Someone went in almost immediately after me. I heard from them a couple weeks later that they had some weird itchy bumps on their lower back. Is transmission possible in this way?
Also around the time I had an outbreak I also had itchy bumps pop up on my stomach and all over my back. Is there any possibility that these are related to my herpes?
So you had an actual outbreak at the time you used their toilet?
In order for someone else to get this, they would have had to have a break in the skin exactly where you were sitting – one does not rub ones genitals across a toilet seat prior to sitting. So it’s all so unlikely.
I don’t think bumps on your stomach or back are related to herpes, no.
Terri
