So now very little research msm transmisdion I’m msm anal receptive hsv localized on inside a butt cheek
Hsv positive many yrs prob over 15 by now /daily med 500 MG valcyclovir..outbreaks extremely rare
as I can’t know viral shedding what are the risk for anal insertive partner w condom vs no condom
Condoms reduce 50 ? W meds ? Eould you advise lysone as well ? Your insight appreciated !
I would not really advise Lysine, no. If your partner uses a condom with anal insertive sex, I would say we could extrapolate from vaginal penile sex with a condom and say it reduces transmission by somewhere around 90%. Combine that with the valacylcovir and your risk of transmitting to a partner is very low.

Do you think 500 mgs daily is enough to reduce outbreaks and hopefully viral shedding and could the virus shed in other areas aside from the infection spot ?
yes, 500 mg is a typical dose and the dose used in most studies of reduction of symptoms and transmission. Condoms reduce transmission by 96% from men to women so it should apply to you as well?
