Hi Terri,
My boyfriend was fingering me and I didn’t think I had an outbreak/was healed from one, but looked the next day and the bump was not gone all the way, but it was not an open sore. He touched his penis for a millisecond a few seconds after touching me. He did not have any visible cuts on his finger. How high are his chances of having an OB? I am mortified at the thought of hurting the one I love and the Internet has offered me no relief or explanation.

I think the chances that he became infected on his finger from this encounter are very very close to zero. If he has no lesions 10 days from the time of this encounter, I would encourage you to put this worry to bed entirely.

OK, I see. I am NOT worried about transmission from his finger to his penis, no. So much virus would be lost in that process and we don’t even know if you were shedding virus at the time, right?
