Hi there!
(27f)
This is a bit of a weird one so bare with me…I have no idea if I have hsv. I have never had a cold sore or anything on my genitals.Last week I woke up, made love to my partner (of 2 years) – no oral BUT I did use a mouthfull of my saliva as lubrication once. We made love for a while and then went to wash up. While washing my face I noticed I had 2 little white blister dots on my lip. Not the edge, right in the middle. My first instinct was to pop them – so I did, little bit of clear fluid came out. No tingling, no burning, no itching no pain before or after. The same day they scabbed but not pussy – just looked like little cuts but I was paranoid that they were cold sores and suddenly I was having an OB. They stayed 2 separate little things, never clumped together.
By day 5 the scabs were totally healed, I did take l-lysine right away because thats what the internet told me to do ahah
so now 5 days later – no symptoms from my partner or anything but there isn’t really information about saliva and HSV.1. Does this sound like HSV? Are there other causes for little blisters? They healed so quick which is making me hopeful?
2. Is there a risk for spreading to his genitals via my saliva during sex?
(This was before I noticed or popped the bubbles)Thank you sooo much!!
Thank you!

I am still curious about your answers to these questions however I will add now;
We of course kissed non-stop while making love so I suppose he would have more likely have gotten it orally – correct?
And we are now day 8 since all that and nothing…
Which makes me think these little bumpy fluid bubbles were not HSV blisters?

Hmmmmm. I’m just now sure here.

I am not aware of another cause for a blister on your lip as your describe them.2. Is there a risk for spreading to his genitals via my saliva during sex?
(This was before I noticed or popped the bubbles)
Yes, kissing would certainly be a risk but did you also give him oral sex? Saliva would not be as much of a direct risk as giving him oral sex but if these were herpes lesions, the saliva may have presented a small risk.Has he ever had a cold sore before?
Terri
Thank you sooo much!!
