Hello.
I had an encounter 7 months ago that I am a bit worried about. I kissed, gave oral (he didn’t go down on me) and then had sex with a man who woke up with a cold sore the next morning. I am afraid that since he was in the prodome stage while this happened that kissing him and then going down on him transferred his saliva onto his penis and then had it go in me. Also worried that he licked his fingers and put them on my vaginal opening.
It is possible that there was some risk with those experiences – have you experienced anything on your mouth, like a cold sore? About half the population has HSV 1 so it is very common. What would you like to do about the small risk that this presented?

I have not experienced a cold sore on my mouth. I am incredibly worried about any transfer genitally, which seems like there may be a chance I contacted it
Since he did not give you oral sex, there is not a risk of genital infection for you.

Ok thank you. How common is it to experience any symptoms this long after exposure? (Not experiencing anything. Curious is all) Would you recommend getting tested, or just live life as normal?
I think you are safe to wait to test or not test at all unless it is still worrying you, then I would do the blot because we are talking about HSV 1 here which is more challenging for the IgG to detect.
