I have had HSV2 for over 10 years. Unaware of any outbreaks in the last 9 years. Outbreaks have always been in vaginal area. Am currently on daily Valtrex. If my partner’s penis was in contact with my buttocks while cuddling/spooning could he get HSV2 . I know shedding can occur around the anus.

There is no risk of transmission of HSV 2 through spooning and cuddling, assuming you have no active lesions on the buttocks. The buttocks skin is just too thick for virus to leave without a lesions.
