Good afternoon I am a AAF,
July 15th- protected sex, received unprotected Oral . Days later I noticed a itch and went to OB she didn’t see anything unusual but gave me diflucan itch went away. I never thought anything of it.

August 5th- unprotected sex
August 10th- noticed ph was off so went to OB and got tested for STD’s didn’t realize herpes wasn’t included. NP states she didn’t see anything unusual.
August 12- I’m not sure if I was just super paranoid because at this point my anxiety was out of control I noticed fatigue, my legs felt weak and I had weird anal burning after taking boric acid for the ph being off. I would wake up sweating but I also wear a heating blanket all times of the year. I went to the emergency room they stated they didn’t see anything unusual and prescribed me anxiety meds. I’ve been to the hospital more then 4 times at this point and they state they don’t see anything usual. Confirmed by Gastro I had a thrombosis hemorrhoid. Unsure if that is where the anal burning came from.
2.5 wks later- follow up with primary doc who ran a complete std panel and the HSV2 was 0.43… later found out from my OB they don’t perform those test for obvious reasons and high inaccuracy rate. Fast forward 8 weeks against my doctors orders I went to anylab test and had a test done and it was 1.14. I’m completely terrified. To date I haven’t had any noticeable lesions, or typical symptoms most people would report with an initial outbreak. I had some bumps on my mons pubis swabbed that came back negative. If anything has stuck out for me it would be the A.ulcer beside my left molar and the blisters that are in the back of my mouth by my wisdom teeth. My mouth gets tight when they form they don’t cause to much pain and usually disappear pretty quickly. I have many things I’ve noticed but I’m on super super high alert so anything and everything I associate it with HSV. My taste buds seem inflamed and mouth has been numb.

I have an appointment with you in the coming weeks. I guess my question would be are any of the above mentions or below mentions symptoms of HSV2? I know not everyone’s HSV presents the same way but I would think that if I were to have an intial OB from what I’ve been told “I’d know”. Could this be a false positive? I know your the Guru and you’d be able to give me accurate information.
Itching- no lesions
Fatigue/ leg weakness- no lesions
Mouth sores/ numbness
Random body itching all over

None of this sounds like herpes to me, honestly. I know you are very worried . Your index value is so low that I do think that this is likely a false positive but I hope that we are planning to do a western blot so we can be more certain. The timing of your last contact is July is exactly what we need to do the blot in a timely way.
