hi, was with stripper received hand stimulation from her, she was using her saliva as lubrication and was also touching her vagina throughout the time. What do you think the risk of hsv-2 and hiv is from this? i tested positive from an igc or whatever its called 6 days after from quest labs. the index was 1.45 or 1.49. i also had a unraised rash on my inner thigh that was speckled and pink in color. i tested negative for hiv at 6 days, 5 weeks and 7 weeks with a quest gen 4 each time. since then (october 14th) i have had possible lesions on pubic region that reselbled ingrown hairs or shaving irritation, i don’t normally get those types of lesions ether. One more major concern is how i have been feeling. just unwell. i had fatigue and nausea 3 days after the interaction, followed by suspect lesions. since then i have had many bouts of feeling nasueated and overheated… are these also possible symptoms. i really have not been feeling good from time to time and the feeling is try similar to how i felt just after the interaction.

would like your opinion on all this.
      thank you

So the activity that you engaged in did not carry a risk for HSV 2 infection. If someone has herpes orally, it is almost always HSV 1 (people can have HSV 2 orally but it sheds incredibly infrequently). Also I don’t think there would be enough virus in saliva to transit to you anyway. And you touching her vagina would not result in genital infection in you.

Now whether you have genital herpes or not is another question. You index value is in what we call low positive – anything between 1.1 and 3.5. At 1.49, the risk of this being a false positive is 85%. Nausea is not a symptoms of HSV infection. If you were my patient, I would suggest that you get a herpes western blot to confirm your low positive.

Okay, mind you I got the test 6 days after the interaction. i think I lost you somewhere. The girl was touching and putting her fingers in her vagaina then using the same hand right after to continue using it on my penis. I did not touch her vagina my self. I am also wondering if you have any time for a 10 minute phone call today. Thank you.

I was lost – I thought you meant you were touching her vagina the whole time. Sorry. but again, I doubt that there would be enough virus on her hands to infect you. It takes quite a bit.
The test results suggest that either you have a false positive OR you were infected prior to this encounter – too soon to have an antibody positive related to this incident. It’s Sunday and we are out of town, but I am doing phone consults on Tuesday, even while I am away if you want to make an appointment.
