Hi Terri,
Thank you for this platform. I have a question regarding the recent occurrence. I was having a vaginal cyst/abscess from a hair pull. It was hard and thick and I did warm compresses on it. And I decided to take a look at it in the mirror and noticed that there were couple of spots where skin was torn and I could see the oozing from the raw skin. The tears/ sores were about 1mm or less in size. All these tears were right on top of the cyst/abscess. My GP examined the area and said that the tears are very superficial and could be because of skin distention from cyst. He asked me to put Polysporin on it and gave me antibiotics. I put polysporin on it 4-5 times that day and by next morning, the sores and tears were gone and minimal redness was there. From the time I noticed them to the time they were gone was about 24 hours or slightly less. In my understanding, I did not do anything to cause any friction to cause tears and skin was not that distended. They were painless to touch but sting when urine touched it. There was no other symptom. It was an accidental finding when I decided to check the cyst/abscess. I would appreciate your insight on this. Could this be an outbreak? The location was where the outer lip meets the perineum. I never had per vaginal sex. Oral sex may be for 30 secs! What else it could be. I am so confused.
Well, since the meds helped it go away so quickly, it seems very unlikely it is herpes. Do you have any history of cold sores?
Terri
Hi Terri,
Thanks for your response. I never had a cold sore. But as my family says, my grand ma had.
I doubt that you have genital herpes, based on your sexual history description
