Can valtrex affect the igg levels of test? I originally tested positive via a blood test was on valtrex 1 gram daily then after 5 months tested negative.
Have you heard of anyone seroconverting after doing ozone?
I have never heard of anyone going to negative due to Ozone.
are you saying that you were on 1 gram a day of Valtrex when you tested positive? What was the index value of your positive test? And are we talking about HSV one or HSV-2? We know that there are many false positives on the IgG test as well as the test missing 8% of infections on the IgG test so it’s not a test with a great deal of clarity.

My Igg were at 3.91 for hsv2 and after taking valtrex for 5 months I tested negative 3 times thru quest diagnostic.
Does valtrex affect igg values?
Sometimes people experience what we call seroreversion. That means they go from positive to negative on an IgG test. People do not experience that with herpes western blot. If it is ever positive, it will stay positive forever. You may wish to consider getting a western blot just for clarity here. This is kind of an odd situation. I also want to consider going off of Valtrex and see if you have an outbreak and if you do have that swab tested to determine if it is actually HSV-2.
Remember if you are not on suppression that you are more likely to infect others with whom you have intercourse

Thank you what’s the likely hood or possibility of a false negative thru quest diagnostic?
Do you know the difference in sensitivity from the blot test to the quest confirmation test?
The
igG test at quest offers has false negatives for sure both on HSV one and two. The bigger problem is false positives. I don’t think we have a good comparison between the inhibition essay from quest and the western blot. This is your final post on the subscription
