We have a low serum IgG positive, measuring 1.67. Done two times in a row with similar results. Absolutely no recent sexual exposure in almost one year. Western blot test was indeterminate. However, this western blot test was done after several weeks on Valtrex. Would that have interfered with the results?
Valtrex interferes with western blot testing only when taken immediately after a possible first infection. And the guidance from UW about an indeterminate is if you have not had sex in a year, you should consider yourself negative.
