Just wanted to say thank you for the abundance of knowledge you’ve made easily accessible to the community!
My question is in regards to completing the westerblot (kit is being shipped to me at this moment), due to my current circumstances, I cannot access a lab to spin my sample. I do however, have the ability to draw blood and follow the kits instructions. So my question is, would it be possible to send my blood unspun, overnighted with icepacks to the UW, or is the spinning now an absolute requirement for proper analyzing?
I read some other (older) posts saying that some people have sent them unspun, but wanted a more conclusive answer. Thanks!
People have sent them unspun and if the sample arrived the next day, none has been rejected. But that’s always a risk. Next day air delivery would absolutely essential in that situation.
