I am a 40/m. About 5 weeks ago I had unprotected vaginal intercourse. I have not had any symptoms just extreme anxiety. I took a full panel std blood and urine test and I was negative for all except I scored a 1.4 for hsv2. I am going in for a confirmation test tomorrow. How should I feel about these results after 5 weeks? This is the worst mistake I have ever made in my life and I am worried this will tear my family apart. Please help.

I’m not sure what confirmation test you are doing, but there are problems with both LabCorp and Quest confirmatory results, the western blot is the best. You have a very low positive and high odds of it being a false positive.
