Hi Terri,
Hope this message finds you well. I went out to eat with friends. There was a sauce on the table for all of us to share with a spoon in it. My friend took a bite out of her sandwich and spread the sauce and the spoon on her sandwich where she bit into the sandwhich. She directly spread the spoon on where she bit into the sandwich. Later on I took some of the sauce from the same spoon and poured it on my plate and ate it. I didn’t notice until later that she had a circular patch on her lip. She tends to get cold sores when she is sick. I wasn’t sure if she had a cold sore still or if it was recovering from earlier in the week. Is there any chance I could have caught a cold sore from her through this interaction? Thanks!
I would bet a million dollars that this is NOT a risk for the acquisition of HSV1
Terri
