This is my second time here but forgot my old login details. So 2+ years ago i had unprotected sex with someone, which lasted roughly 20 seconds or so. 1 year later i found a round patch of redness on my shaft which was tender to touch, there was no bumps or anything even close , it was just a very small area of redness, i washed it in the shower and the pain and tenderness subsided, 10 hours later it scabbed, the scab was so thin and light and flat that i doubted it even being a scab. . I then peeled it off and it was gone. Now when i asked the question previously here, i think you ended up saying its definitely not herpes. So my question is, i had no lesion, no blister, no sore or anything, can herpes behave this way? Just an area of redness that scabs after washing it. I went to the doctors and they also said its not herpes but instead could be a different sti. This whole thing lasted about a day in total.
Now, i wouldve closed the chapter here but, yesterday morning i woke up and there was a very small round flat scab. I have no clue how it even appeared. I religiously check my penis daily , and there was absolutely no redness or anything there the night before. Not a lesion, blister, redness anything. But magically this flat round scab appeared the next day. I lightly touched it and it came off right away, i didnt even need to peel it. Im questioning if it even was a scab in the first place. Could this be herpes? There was no signs of a lesion or anything that indicates the beginning of a break out. I use a flash light to check my penis daily incase i miss anything, nd there was nothing there. Can herpes really behave like this? Also i forgot to mention but i most likely have another sti, i havent had sex since this encounter 2 years ago but i think i caught an sti . Im thinking if its this sti thats causing this , i have a few symptoms. Does this sound herpetic to you, and is there a chance that this could infact be something else and not herpes?

that’s a tough one. It’s hard to imagine the kind of scab you are referring to honestly. and it was gone so quickly. it doesn’t sound at all like herpes to me but can’t say it absolutely is not herpes.
Have you had an antibody test done?Terri

No i havent had any tests done, but i believe previously you said it definetely isnt herpes. Could herpes actually behave this way? There was no lesions or anything that could remotely justify the scab. This whole thing is causing me alot of anxiety to the point where im not eating or sleeping properly, is there any sort of reassurance u can give? Like could this be something other than herpes? Have u ever heard of scabs where there was no previous sore or lesion etc to justify the scab? It just popped out of no where, i did forget to mention that i did masturbate more rigorous than usual the day before the scab. But idk if that could cause a small round scab. Thank you terri.

I think 20 seconds of unprotected sex is highly unlikely to result in herpes. I would very rarely say I am absolutely certain something isn’t herpes based on someone’s description, however. I don’t know what your sexual activity has been since two years ago?

I have not had sex since this ordeal, so over 2 years ago was the last time. This was the only instance i had sex, it was also my first and only time. Do u think its still herpes would u say? No lesions or anything, whole thing lasts under a day. Can herpes outbreak really last under a day? Im just so confused and distraught, please give some advise or reassurance if this could be herpes or not. Im just tryna figure out if these symptoms relate to herpes, iv read so many places and have never seen a case like this. What would u say?

I don’t feel that what you are experiencing is a herpes outbreak. Herpes outbreaks last more than a single day. Your sexual experience is limited as well and your symptoms just don’t fit. In my opinion this doesn’t sound at all like herpes.
