I believe I am worrying myself sick over what is likely nothing. Here is my timeline:
8.5 weeks ago: International trip, lots of sweating esp on planes, acne breakout particularly inner things.
7.5 weeks ago: return home. A number of bumps still, believe to be acne.
6 weeks ago: another trip, still have “acne”
Here is main cause for concern. During this trip a friend talked me into going to a strip club. I had a ~25 minute private dance while there. I was wearing shorts, and no sex took place. However at a couple points during the dance she reached inside her gstring and fingered herself though not for very long (10 seconds?). A few minutes later, she reached up my shorts and grabbed my penis, both hands, again for not very long (10-15 seconds). She later did it again.
Fast forward ~12-13 days: I woke up with 3 noticeable bumps on my right thigh, each of them a few inches apart. I did something stupid and popped them. Two of them were red with a head and hard, a 3rd felt a little softer but I think maybe that’s because of where it was (in the crease between groin and thigh, higher up). One of them had a little clear fluid in it then bled, the other two more white puss. None of them itched or hurt. I had no other symptoms to speak of.
I have since had a variety of bumps appearing spread out on both thighs (~10). I can still see 2 of the bumps I popped though they have shrunk (~4 weeks later). Most are small red bumps with a white head and appear centered on a follicle. Some are coming and going and others have been there for 4+ weeks. I have had zero bumps of any kind on penis or scrotum.
Dermatologist said it was folliculitis and gave me Clandicin wipes. Little change in ~5 days.
The bumps appearing about 12 days after the strip club are what concern me as they looked different.
Does this sound at all like Herpes? Does the timeline fit at all? Do you recommend testing?
What about the anxiety? The stigma is worse than the disease

This sounds absolutely nothing at all like herpes and you did nothing (nor did she) to put you at risk of acquiring herpes. I don’t recommend testing in your situation,no, and if i have any concerns from descriptions that people write, I do recommend testing. Not in your situation,no.
