Years Of Anxiety over Low Positive

Thank you for everything you do.

It’s time I reached out as I have been letting my anxiety destroy myself.

I am a male. around 5 years ago I had a partner who i was with one time, protected and at the end not protected for about 2 minutes, come back and tell me she had herpes. I had never had outbreaks, or anything resembling outbreaks

I got an IGG test done from I think Labcorp after a year and a half with gf at the time. I remember the numbers like it was yesterday

HSV1 IGG supplemental – 58.2 – positive supplemental
HSV2 IGG supplemental – 1.29 – positive supplemental

After my girlfriend at that time and I broke up, she got tested and was came back negative. Because I never had outbreaks, I was naive and didn’t worry about it because I was no longer potentially passing it. This was 3 1/2 years ago.

I was with 1 other person after that, protected, and non protected. This is a very big regret of mine that I live with. It has been almost 3 years since this partner, I had no outbreaks after that partner and I have not heard anything from them.

Now to my current partner, I have been with her for 2 1/2 years, and I put my anxiety behind me, which was wrong on my part.

I have had no outbreaks ever in these almost 5 years since that person, and so far my current girlfriend has not either and claims she was tested with a negative.

I have had one pimple which reoccurs in the same spot on my shaft. It is a white head, i have popped it and have gotten white pus. No scabbing, pain, itching, tingling at all. I would not notice it if I had not looked down in the shower. It has reoccured 2 times in the past 5 years. I can still see it after it ‘heals’ and looks like a sebaceous gland. When I don’t touch it it can sit there for weeks. After popping it it heals within a few days.

I apologize for the dump of info, but my anxiety is destroying my relationship.

My question is, what are the chances of a false positive? Does this pimple sound like Hsv2?

The pimple does not sound like herpes. We have more than 125 people now who tested positive on the IgG test at labCorp for HSV 2 and positive on the supplemental but negative on the western blot.
You need the blot – really
