It is so hard to know anything for certain from a picture. To me, this looks like a little blister with pus in it, would you describe it that way? How long has it been there? Have you had anyone check it out in person? Have you ever had anything like this before? Have you ever had an antibody test for herpes in the past? Is it tender? Have you ever had a cold sore on your lip in the past?

If you were my patient, I would, depending upon what it looked like up close and the answers to the questions I have posed to you, we would likely swab test it for herpes, yes.
