Well, let me ask you this: has your partner been tested yet? When was her last sexual encounter? Would her test be accurate now? If she is negative and timing is correct then you can be reassured. As you know, I have no faith at all in the IgM test and have seen many lives completely disrupted by this test. It is very hard to get some people to believe that they are not infected once they get a positive IgM in spite of negative IgG tests and shame shame shame on providers who order them. And the issue with them is though false positive are extremely common, they are not incorrect every single time so I cannot advise you that there is no need for worry whatsoever. Let”s talk a little more about the timing of all the things we’ve talked about and then maybe we can get a little more clarity.
