Thanks for your follow-up, Terri.
I’m entering my 9th week after potential exposure and I’m still having symptoms…overall weakness and lethargic feeling, all over body muscle aches and joint pain (arms, legs, hands and feet), headaches, lack of appetite, feeling of being unwell, neck soreness and cracking, discomfort/pain while urinating (some burning), red and sore scrotum.
Could these symptoms be related to HSV? If not, could it be another STD and related to my event 9 weeks ago?
I can remember at one point her sitting on my lap and rubbing back and forth (dry humping/grinding) with my pants open (3 or 4 times), but I also believe she had on small underwear(but I could be mistaken)…could this have transmitted HSV if some of her bare skin was rubbing on my scrotum and/or penis? I have had a very red and irritated scrotum…could that be the site of transmission? Again, I have had no lesions that I know of. Maybe I just missed them? My doctor said he saw an anal fissure while inspecting, but I know I’ve had that for many years and she didn’t touch my behind, my pants were just open while I was sitting down.
As I mentioned, this is a very stressful situation for me, but I also know my body very well and know that these symptoms are definitely real and not just psychological. I can’t seem to get my energy back, shake the achey muscles and joints, the headaches, and lack of appetite. I’m still trying to get my focus back on work and on my family. This situation and symptoms have taken over my life.
I have an appointment with a new GP on Tuesday morning to get his opinion on my symptoms and situation. My current GP has not been able to diagnose any of this, he just thinks it’s a virus…but I’ve had the symptoms for almost 2 months…which does not seem typical to me. We’ve done complete blood work-up and found nothing, in addition to full STD panel, HIV, and HSV blood work.
Any additional feedback would be wonderful. Thank you.
