The good news is that once you have well established HSV 2 in one location (and nerve group) it is almost unheard of to get it in a totally new nerve group on the body. That includes your hands. Your hands are NOT shedding the virus so you don’t need to worry about children or your husband and you don’t need to wear gloves or anything like that at all. Your OCD is at play here and herpes and OCD does not make a good combination. On this issue, I hope you will trust me. Your nice immunity in your body will keep this virus in one nerve group, the genital one.
