No, I don’t think you noticed your primary outbreak. Or you attributed it to something else. If your LabCorp value was 21 four days after the encounter, you didn’t get it from him. Period. Symptoms that last a full month likely are not caused by genital herpes, especially an old infection like I believe you have.
You are absolutely the perfect example of why people need baseline antibody testing after they have a risky exposure. If you had waited to test until 16 weeks later, you could never have known if you had herpes from that encounter or had it previously.
