Are you able to get me copies of these results?
Here is what I am thinking: perhaps you have genital HSV 1 (which is why I asked you about receiving oral sex and I don’t think you answered me)
The screening test for HSV 1 misses about 1-2 out of 10 infections, so it could be the case for you. Also, if you do an antibody test too soon after infection, it will be negative because not enough time has passed to seroconvert. I don’t think you need to see an immunologist, just for this anyway.
Even if you have herpes, all of your pain does not sounds anything like herpes. I think you are dealing with two separate problems here, honestly.
Again, I would like to see the actual test results for blood and culture. Then, I believe I would recommend a herpes western blot as it is far more sensitive for HSV 1 than the screening test. Do you know if the antibody tests were IgG? How long after your sores developed did you have the last antibody test?
We are out of questions but I hope you will renew as we have more to talk about.
