I just thought I would update you that I finally got tested, and I am so happy to say it came back NEGATIVE for both HSV 1 and 2. The test was a type-specific IgG done through STDcheck.com and LabCorp. There were no index values reported; it just said <0.91 for both. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders after so many months of worrying.
My test marks over a year and 4 months since I was sexually active with multiple partners before my boyfriend and I got together, so I think it should be accurate, unless you would still recommend a Western Blot. With both of us having negative IGG tests and no sores, do you think it’s safe to put this to rest?
Thank you so much for all that you do for those of us struggling to understand this common virus. Your forum has really helped me.
