Hi Terri hope all is well. When u say that The western blot looks for all the proteins including the gG that the IgG looks for are u referring to the 14 antigens not dealing with the igG. Other proteins or do they appear after igG appears. I was always under the impression that wb go off of igG protein meaning igG needs to be + in order for the wb to detect.
Also when u said It could appear as easly as 7-10 days at a low level. Are u referring to igm or igG appearing that soon.
This whole thing is comfusing I keep reading on people’s experiences and testing positive on igG blood test at later dates then the actual timeline 12 to 16 wks at low levels at that. That’s why I asked how fast antibodies appear. I’m just curious if the western blot will or would of detected infection in these people sooner, like at 12 wks. I didn’t get the last response from u when u said The IgG can be positive sooner than the western blot, for the very reason described above.
Are u meaning that the igG is first to detect antibodies. I didn’t quite get that response. I may of read it wrong
I’m gonna do the wb in a few more wks it’ll be 5 months a 3 wks tops because they’re pushing for early May for the engagement and i kno it’ll be a few wks until I receive the results. This whole ordeal is so depressing and I just get more upset when I read about people showing low positives at later dates.
