There is an 85% chance that this is a false positive result. Some people have a protein in their body that is unrelated to herpes but is the same molecular weight as one of the herpes antibody proteins. If you can get your blood drawn and spun and have a clinician order the test (I can do that or your own provider) then yes, you can get the western blot.
