That is a presentation of herpes I have not seen, symptoms generalized to one side of the body. I would advise you to keep an eye out for any genital abnormalities.
Have you been tested to determine your HSV 2 status?
A person who has HSV 1 is not generally protected against HSV 2, no. A person who has genital HSV 1 may have a slightly lower risk of acquiring HSV 2, but that has not been completely sorted out.
I would say that the response to a woman infected with HSV 2 on the dating scene varies. A lot depends upon how the woman herself has adjusted to having HSV 2 If she is very upset by having herpes and that message comes across to a potential partner, I think things don’t go quite as well.
Your partner really should take daily therapy to reduce the risk of infecting you. It can be a cheap, easy and safe medicine to take with big benefits in terms of transmission.
