Star, this doesn’t really look like herpes to me but pictures on the internet are difficult. An in person visit would be clearer for you.
When you say that you were diagnosed with HSV 1, was it by blood antibody test? What was the number associated with that test result? If it was less than 3.5, clarification with another test would be advised. If it was greater than 5 (>5), the confirmation is not needed.

It’s not possible to say how likely it is for you to have oral HSV 1, based on your family history. Sorry about that.
