No, I meant I’m not sure why you are worried about herpes since your wife tests negative and so does your other partner. Are you concerned that the other partner is really infected with HSV 2 and she doesn’t know it or didn’t tell you? I think that’s your concern here, as I reread this note from you.
Your symptoms do not sound like herpes to me. I know you are worried about the tingling but all of the symptoms that you describe I believe could be attributed to a prostate infection. I also think that if you had HSV 2, your test in February, statistically would be at least starting to be positive which it is not. If your IgG test tomorrow is also negative, then I think we can say with 90% certainty, at least, that you don’t have HSV 2. The IgM test may be positive which it often is, in people who do not have herpes, so if your IgG is negative and your IgM is positive, try to ignore the IgM test result.
How many times did you have sex with this other person?
Even if you are HSV 2 positive, which I believe you are not, there is no risk to your child. HSV 2 is a sexually transmitted infection and is not transmitted to household members unless they are sex partners.
You are getting lots of people, including me, telling you these symptoms are not herpes, but I don’t feel like you believe any of them, including me, because you have such profound guilt and fear. I hope if this most recent test is negative, you will start to believe everyone; Your life will be so much better if you can.
