I don’t think there is anything else that looks just like this and is not herpes. These are truly classic looking lesions to me given my 32 years of experience. I cannot imagine that this would be disclosed – there is no reason for anyone else to know that this is going on with you and your doctor I would imagine is bound by privacy. About 25% of women in the service likely have HSV 2 so you are definitely not alone! Be certain that if the swab test is positive that it is typed as well (HSV 1 vs. HSV 2)
