Reply To: Herpes symptoms but negative blood test

I just received my test results again and wanted to go over them with you

HSV 1 GLYCOPROTEIN G AB, IGG <=0.90 IV 0.09
HERPES VIR. II ABS, IGG <=0.90 IV 0.07

I’m going to try and find out what my type 1 number was 10 years ago that I tested positive. But my main concern is type 2

Is it possible that my initial outbreaks of clear fluid blisters were herpes if all my tests keep coming back negative?

Is it also possible that the tests are just missing my anti-bodies and can’t find it in my blood. Because I tested positive for type 1 several years ago and now its negative. So maybe it can be the same for type 2

I know both numbers are very low. But I am still worried because I have been positive for herpes 1 in the past and now it’s negative
