QUESTIONS.
So, my obvious greatest fear is that I may have caught genital HSV2. It is very clear that I have HSV1 orally, no doubts about it.
1.What are the odds that I caught HSV1 orally and genitally that day?
2.Or maybe I have had it orally for some weeks but also caught it genitally that night?
3.Is it possible at all that I just had a reaction to the all the antibiotics that I have been given and my genital
symptoms are just infectious/bacterial?
4.Could I have Genital HSV1 and 2?. He could have been shedding from both sides that day.
5.What is your best bet given the symptoms and your experience?
6.How long would I have to wait from now, to get a reliable Western blot? Remember that I started taking the Valtrex 2 weeks after exposure, I took it for 8 weeks and I have been off for 10 weeks.
7.What percentage of reliability does my negative HSV2 result have at this point- 20 weeks given the time and the Valtrex intake? 50-50?, nothing at all?
Going to see a doctor at this is useless for me. They tell me it’s all in my head and that there is nothing they can do since the antibodies have not appeared in the blood and I have no blisters to swab.
I also want to thank you for sharing your knowledge in this matter that most doctors are not informed about or interested.
