That is not true. It’s absolutely fine to take antivirals with your first outbreak and every outbreak. I think that the lack of frequency of outbreaks has more to do with the virus just not liking the genital area. I doubt that there is much that you could intentionally do or not do to have more or fewer outbreaks.
