Got Covid Xmas Eve & on 1/1/22 I think I had prodrome symptoms & 2nd possible outbreak. Felt sharp shocking pains in genitals for 2-3 days. Inspected genitals for lesions but I wasn’t shaved & couldn’t see much. Shaved on 1/4/22 but saw none. Kept shaving & checking for 2 days. Bathed Friday 1/7/22 & felt a pimple on left labia minora closer to anus. Skin around it was swollen & it hurt.

Pimple wasn’t fluid filled nor ulcerated but got it swabbed at Planned Parenthood Sat. 1/8/22. Given Acyclovir for 5 days, two 400 mg/day. The next day (1/9/22) it ulcerated. Swab was HSV 1 &2 negative. As lesion began to heal, 2nd pimple began to show up on 1/11/22, in the middle of right labia minora. Also swollen & it hurt but no fluid filled blister. On 1/13 it ulcerated. I had pap smear that day. NP saw it & said it looked like herpes lesion but wouldn’t swab it due to Acyclovir taken (was on last day) and potential false negative. She filled out blot lab form.

Lesions were tender & almost healed but by 1/19/22, a painful pimple appeared on mons pubis just above prepuce. Hurt to touch but didn’t ulcerate (bloody) until 1/28.

So now I’m going to Seattle to get blot done. Getting blood drawn on 2/12/22.

Would amount of antivirals taken affect blot & give a false negative? I’m naively hoping it’s a negative. I don’t want anything to jeopardize test. Last day of pills was 1/13/22, two 400mg/day for 5days, total of 4,000mg.

Would 2 weeks of Doxycycline affect test results? Or taking vitamins?

On 1/26, pap smear results showed minor yeast infection. Could “prodrome/outbreak” felt been a result of it? Took 1 fluconazole pill. Would it affect blot results?

Based on new post, what are my chances looking like? Clearly I have HSV 1. I think I had cold sore when 1st lesion was swabbed. 2 swollen pimples on both tips of upper lip but never blistered or scabbed but lips tingled for a week. I read high HSV 1 index values can cause low positives for HSV 2, think this is me?
