I took a second test (2 months after the initial test) and noticed the HSV2 IGG score from 1.98 to 1.78. My HSV1 IGG score also dropped from mid 60’s to 52. Given 1) my high HSV1 index score, 2) drop in HSV2 index score, and not 3) experiencing any weird symptoms in genital area…I feel more hopeful that my HSV2 diagnosis may be false positive. **Many thanks to all people who have shared their negative western blot test after receiving low positive HSV2 scores. You don’t know how much optimism you’ve injected into the population who are struggling with the uncertainty**
Terry, I have taken the steps to order the Western Blot test kit (last week) and booked an e-meeting with you for mid next week. While on your site, you shared that Quest and Labcorp may not draw the blood test needed for the Western Blot. Is there a list of labs in Southern California (LA County or Orange County)? I’d like to review in advance so I can plan any trips accordingly given work and child care schedule.
