Your symptoms honestly don’t sound like HSV 2 to me.
The variation in the HSV 1 IgG test is completely normal and has no meaning. A high score like yours simply indicates that you’ve been infected with HSV 1 for quite a while but it doesn’t indicate the location of your infection. When you say “you had HSV 1”, does that mean that you already knew that you were infected with HSV 1 previously? Do you have a history of cold sores?
This HSV 1 index value means that you’ve been previously infected with HSV 1 and that receiving oral sex without a condom does not put you at risk for getting HSV 1 genitally through oral sex.
Am I understanding all of this correctly?
