Herpes would not present with micro bumps. Herpes lesions are obvious. Most everyone has a little bumps around the top of their lip. These are called Fordyce spots. You could look that up on the Internet and see if that is what you are experiencing. The symptoms that you describe are way too subtle and small for me to think that they are due to herpes simplex virus.
