Hello, it’s been some time since I wrote here and I would like to report on the recurrences I had since then. I hope it is OK to ask my follow up questions so long after the initial one.
As I mentioned above the initial infection happened Sept. 2019. Then 2 months later I probably had another small outbreak on the side of the scrotum.
Then, Feb. 2021, 16 months after the last outbreak, I had sex with condom with a girl and about 2 weeks afterwards I starting having burning sensations in both legs and probably an outbreak on my buttock. This lasted a long time. I saw nothing on the penile area even though I was checking daily. I was really stressed at that point thinking I acquired hsv2,but read somewhere that primal infections are always at the place of enter of the virus and not on buttocks. Also, I was super stressed after this contact with her, so I think this is what actually caused and outbreak?
Coming to now, I have since a few days a small red spot on the base of my scrotum, which makes it 14 months after the last outbreak.
Is it common to have hsv1 recurrences about once a year (16 and 14 months respectively)? I am only afraid that this could be hsv2.
I have been with a girl since about a year now and even though we have been having a lot of sex with condom she hasn’t acquired anything (she has hsv1 oral).
