If she has HSV one orally, it is extremely unlikely that she would ever require HSV one genitally. Not impossible but extremely unlikely. Has she had an HSV test for type two? And have you? HSV one genital infection, on average, after the first year, recurs about once every other year. A red spot is not necessarily an outbreak. To know for sure, you should have these things swab tested at the time that they appear. In order to feel more comfortable about your HSV-2 status, you may wish to obtain an IgG test for HSV two.
