Okay, how can I get the blot test to make sure if the diagnosis is correct?
Also, since the chance of spreading HSV2 to the mouth is at a small risk, I can still receive oral? I’d just have to inform my partner of that he has small risk of getting it! Is there a percentage of the risk ?
At the moment, I have a new partner but not sure if his current test results included herpes testing and we haven’t done anything yet.
But I’ve tried talking to my doctor about getting medicine to decrease chance of transmission, but since I haven’t had an outbreak she wouldn’t recommend me taking medicine until I have a for sure breakout. Then that’s when she would give me the medicine. When I got the results saying I was positive for HSV2 all they told me was yes I have it, if you ever have an outbreak come back and how I should just use condoms to reduce the risk of transmission to my partner.
