First of all, there are some false positives on this IgG test for HSV 2, and we would want to confirm that her index value on the test, the number associated with the positive, is high enough as to not need confirmation if she has had no genital lesions.
1. What is the risk of me getting oral HSV2 from giving her oral sex?
Low, but not zero. If you did, it would look just like a cold sore
2. What is the risk of me getting HSV2 from digital penetration?
No risk, unless you have a break in the skin of hand or finger
3. What is the risk of me getting HSV2 from genital to genital contact when she is asymptomatic?
Since this does not involve penetrative sex, I think the risk is low, but we don’t have those numbers, I’m afraid.
4. Are condoms, dental dams, and medication the only way to mitigate this risk?
yes, and symptom awareness and avoid sexual contact during outbreaks.
